These fall sessions are making my heart so happy!
Aside from choosing your wedding photographer based on experience, skill and artistic style you'll also want to think about their approach to photographing your wedding. My approach closely mirrors my personality. I prefer to document your day (emphasis on YOUR day) as it unfolds. I'll rarely be in the middle of the action, preferring to instead to let you and yours celebrate without intrusion.
With ONE exception - the wedding portraits. I won't take you away from an important moment and will give you plenty of notice that we're going to sneak away at sunset. Often, this is a blissfully quiet time in a busy day.
If I've taken your engagement photos, you already know that sunset portraits are special. That warm, glowing light is magical and can't be replicated.
That's it - the rest of the wedding day is all yours! Indulge in tradition or create your own new ones - I love both. Have a strict timeline... or say "I do" whenever the mood strikes... just let me pull you aside for a few moments as the sun goes down!
From the first email, Logan has been one of the kindest brides I've worked with. Last November we met up for their engagement session at The Barns at Timberneck and everything absolutely clicked - Logan, Garrett, the venue and their sweet personalities. I knew their wedding was going to be one to remember!
Since they both live out of town, I was so grateful she chose this venue. The owner, Anne and I have collaborated several times now and I live just a few minutes away. It made planning much, much easier and saved the bride the stress of coordinating both photographer AND venue.
Their day was flawless - a perfect fall day with just a bit of chill in the air to go with their colors of burgundy and navy. Their family and friends had smiles on their faces all afternoon and into the night as the bride and groom mingled, danced and laughed.
When your "baby" bursts through the door at nine years old with dirty hands from Lord-knows-what these are the images you'll cherish. These sweet little hands with flakes and new-baby smell. You'll always remember that.
